What is Two-Factor Authentication?

To secure your Ellevest account, we require two-factor authentication for the follow actions:

  • Withdrawing funds
  • Changing login information (email or password)
  • Changing your linked bank account

Before you can complete any of these actions, we’ll send a verification code to your number — either by text to a cell or by phone call if it’s a landline. Once you successfully enter the code, you’ll be able to go ahead and complete what you set out to do.
